Scapegoating is fun

Turns out the proposed 818/747 split is all the fault of illegal immigrants, not the proliferation of cell phones or the densification of the Valley of 2 million people. Well, at least according to some deranged, er alert commenters to the Daily News website such as this gentleman:

I agree, stop giving 818 numbers to the ones that not here legal and we will have all the 818 we need for the people that is (sic) legal.

Can't be too long before we hear that the people that is illegal are responsible for global warming (something to do with all those brown skin soaking up the sun's rays and not reflecting them?), West Nile virus and male pattern balding. Doh! Stupid illegals.

Gee Mariel... who else do you call deranged?

This person made a rather logical conclusion about network capacity. Put fewer people on the phone network, and it will have more capacity.

I guess that none of the 2 million folks in the Valley are illegal aliens, right? I mean, if we deported them, there wouldn't be any change in the demand for phone numbers, right? Yep, this poster is clearly deranged.

Almost as deranged as anyone who asserts you can flood a safetynet system with millions who pay nothing into the system and not have any ill effects.

Yeah, OK.

Mariel has a point...there are people out there that can trace any and all problems back to illegal immigrants...it's just ridiculous an untrue..
