Take that, 'One China'!
About 250,000 Taiwanese hit the streets today to support the island's bid for U.N. membership, which will surely be rejected by the U.N. on Tuesday and which hasn't garnered support from the U.S. government because we're too busy kissing China's butt. The U.N. also has a history of showing zero backbone in favor of Taiwan, not surprising because they show zero backbone on so many other things as well. In the end, China has its veto on the Security Council, but the Taiwanese people have the cojones to continue fighting for democracy.
