Three Reasons No Vote Whitman Should Save Her Money

| | Comments (0) |

Meg Whitman should save her money. She can't win for these three Reasons. Number 1. She's a gubernatorial candidate who didn't vote until she was well into middle age. And then offers the lame excuse that she made a mistake, shrugs her shoulders and says but forgive me for it anyway since I'll make a great candidate and an even greater governor.
Number two. Her record. She doesn't have one. The best that she can come up with is that she'll cut taxes (ho hum). She'll block any prisoner release (she can't the courts have already ordered it). She'll raise teacher pay (how). She'll gut California's draconian environmental laws (federal mandates preclude that). Her record is a tired mix of recycled, failed, flawed, and uninspired GOP nostrums.

Number three. Californians have already tried plopping into office the proverbial man on the white horse who'll clean up government, restore power to the citizens and chase the deal making, bought and paid for special interest beholden politicians from Sacramento. The horse and the man who rode it (Arnie) never got out the starting gate. California's legislature and bureaucracy is just as wasteful, special interest and lobbyist leaden, and dysfunctional as ever. Whitman's fortune won't be enough to overcome the three reasons she can't win. Meg save your money.
