I've been getting a lot of response to my article in today's Daily News about Islamophobia. Here is another gem, with added emphasis in bold:
Why do so many Jews in the U.S., continue to apologize and making excuses for radical Islam. Here's a group of people who want to marginalize and destroy Jews all over the world, yet you and many others of the Jewish faith, defend them and push their propaganda. There is NO such thing as Islamophobia! when is the last time you heard of a Muslim being beaten, raped or murdered in the U.S.???? They are allowed to work where they want, preach when they want and say what they want. nearly the complete opposite of their home country. What there is, is a realization that there are millions of Muslims both here and around the world, who want to impose their backwards, totalitarian beliefs on the rest of us. WHY IS IT THAT LIBERALS LIKE YOU DON'T GET THIS!!!!
So as long as you're giving University teachers a pass on their hate speech against the U.S. and Israel, how about you talk about how:
Muslims burn and loot cars and homes in Paris every night!
a Muslim shot and killed Jewish women at a Synagogue in Seattle
Schools in the U.K. are now BANNING any teaching of the holocaust so they don't offend Muslims.
this list is endless but those are recent examples.
Brad, you're on the wrong side. So while you push your politically correct - multicultural drivel, I'll choose to fight to keep this country strong and safe. While you're waiting in line with your prayer rug on the way to the ovens, I'll continue to shine a light on the hate speech that Imams are spewing in Mosque's.
I should note that based on this man's last name, which is the same way he misidentified my faith -- I am culturally though not religiously Jewish -- he might be Jewish.

Brad A. Greenberg is a God-fearing Christian with devilishly good Jewish looks. He writes about the intersection of faith and life.

'Muslim being beaten, raped or murdered in the U.S.????"
Christmas day 2006, right here in los angeles, a friend of mine, who converted to Islam, is Mexican by birth and born in the US was praying in a city park while his non-Muslim family waited for him.
Five people approached him and began beating him up and yelling "dirty Muslim go back home" and "F#$% Muslim rag heads"- very similar to what is being said in this email- and began to also chase his sister and wife who again were not even Muslims but precieved to be because they were with him.
Hate starts by having people like you who are decent and concerned citizens turn a blind eye because of your precieved notions, biases and disgusting lack of knowledge as well as lack of connection with decent people who might not think like you or look like you.
The fact is sometimes you have to step out of your home and realize whats going on. Please make the effort to step outside your comfort zone and meet the Muslim community.

On March 30, 2007, Dr. Ismail Radwan, spokesman for Hamas on Palestinian Authority TV, called for killing all the Jews. Hussam Ayloush wonders why there is "Islamophobia" in this country?
Maybe when Muslim political and religious leaders call for an end to terrorism and take active steps to step the terrorists, and when these leaders stop talking about killing anyone they oppose, then we can work to eliminate "Islamophobia." Until then, "Islamophobia" is a logical response to murderous enemies.

Is there any justification for anti-Semitism? If the answer is no, then why are we desperately trying to justify Islamophobia?
It is fear, ignorance and hate promoted by people like Ross Hopkins that hinders dialogue and understanding among people.
In fact, Hussam Ayloush posted a great column on his blog on the need for more multicultural interaction. So, check it out: http://hussamayloush.blogspot.com/

Ross Hopkins asks why "Hussam Ayloush wonders why" there is Islamophobia, then go on to claim that Muslim leaders are not taking active steps to prevent terrorism.
First, I would say that you dont hear enough about what Muslims in America are doing to work with Law Enforcement, but also to speak against terrorism. It's not something that is glamorus to be reported by the media on a constant basis.
Finally please do visit Hussam's website, since you feel that he is at a loss as to why there is Islamophobia.

I would say he works on brigding and bringing different faith communities together, rather then just wonder why there is such a trend as Islamophobia.
I would also say that is more then probably you- Ross Hopkins have done to create a better America, then again, I can not judge since I do not know what exactly it is that you do to better America besides promote the marginalization of an entire community of Americans due to the actions of individuals.
