Hollywood is Home of First Eco-Club in the State
Hollywood is set to be the home of California's first eco-friendly nightclub when the Ecco Ultra Lounge opens its doors. The club is recycling the Asian themed Tokio nightclub and will feature a bunch of eco-friendly upgrades, such as an LED lighting system for the dance floor, organic food and liquors, and state of the art hand dryers. The club will also offer free valet for hybrid vehicles and will operate a paperless ticket system.
The transformation of the venue will be filmed by the Discovery Channel's Planet Green and shown on Alter Eco show, hosted by Entourage star Adrian Grenier.
An opening date has not been decided, but could be some time in July. This just seems so ironic to me. I mean Hollywood the city of waste, superficiality and plastic is the city with the first eco-club? Thankfully there are a handful of celebs that are backing the green lifestyle at least publicly. Maybe this was the thinking behind this eco-chic club. The real question is, where will everyone park their Escalades?
