After reading that Long Beach K-9 officers spend thousands of dollars of their own money to care for their dogs - Veterinarian Greg Perrault decided to help by providing first aid kits and training for the officers. He has won numerous state and national awards, including an international NPPA Best of Photojournalism award in 2003 and Best News Photo from the Los Angeles Press Club in 2010.
