LONG BEACH, CALIF. USA -- Dignitaries including Long Beach, Calif. Marshalls, together with T.J. Maxx, form the largest off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the U.S. The store is located at the site of the former Roberts Department Store building. The 52,000 square foot building was demolished last October after sitting vacant for more then a decade. The Long Beach RDA provided a $3.7 million loan, at 2 percent interest, to GGF, LLC., the owners of the property to get Marshalls in to the center. The store employees 80 people. See more pictures>>
