LONG BEACH, CALIF. USA -- Ronald McDonald checks out the construction of the Long Beach (Calif.) Ronald McDonald House on October 28, 2010. A former apartment building near Long Beach Memorial Medical Center is being gutted and rebuilt as The Long Beach Ronald McDonald House. The Long Beach Ronald McDonald House will have 23 guest rooms, a living room and open-air courtyard, plus a dining room and kitchen. There will also be a children's room and outdoor tot lot along with a garden, patio, barbeque area, laundry, pantry and computer room. The board of trustees of the Long Beach Ronald McDonald House has raised more than $5 million for its capital campaign, passing the 80 percent mark of its goal in fundraising. See more pictures>>
