At least Sheila Caron's snowman need one as she puts the finishing touches on her Christmas lawn decorations before starting work on the house lights at her east Long Beach, Calif. home are pointing the same direction on November 28, 2010. Sheila Caron spent the afternoon putting up holiday decorations with her partner, Kristin Harlocker, their daughter, Ryan Harlocker-Caron, 3, and Kristin's niece, Magda VanKanegan.

He has won numerous state and national awards, including an international NPPA Best of Photojournalism award in 2003 and Best News Photo from the Los Angeles Press Club in 2010.
