Yesterday the Long Beach city council nixed a plan to build a shopping and community destination at the site of the dilapidated SeaPort Marina Hotel. The $320 million project, called Second+PCH, was to be centered around a 12-story residential building and include a boutique hotel and retail space. He has won numerous state and national awards, including an international NPPA Best of Photojournalism award in 2003 and Best News Photo from the Los Angeles Press Club in 2010.
