The president of the California Speedway has admitted today on Nascar.com that it has struggled to sell out both Nextel races. Something that most of us who follow the sport already know. To me, its not the 75 mile drive. It is several other problems. Number one is the lack of side by side racing. #2, When the cars are so far apart, the sound bounce from the buildings behind pit row is annoying. I hope the new configuration at Las Vegas doesn't create this problem. I have attended every cup race at LVMS since they opened. #3, I still hate paying $7. for a beer. Its worse at Dodger Stadium since the beer is hardly ever cold. The fans never get a break. The track either needs to be shortened, reconfigured, or just make it a restrictor plate race. The West race should be run on Saturday with the Busch cars.
