What does Stewart's move mean?

| | Comments (0) |

If Tony Stewart goes to Haas/CNC Racing, as most expect will be announced Thursday at Chiacgoland Speedway, it will create a number of moves throughout NASCAR.
For one, it will open a seat on one of the best teams in the Sprint Cup Series. Most likely Joey Logano will move up to the Cup Series. Logano has been in the developmental program for Joe Gibbs Racing and won the Toyota All-Star Showdown at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale last year.
Part of Stewart's move to Haas/CNC Racing might include the move of Ryan Newman from Penske Racing to Haas/CNC Racing. That would give Haas/CNC Racing a two-time Cup champion and a Daytona 500 winner. Quite an upgrade from Johnny Sauter and Scott Riggs.
Speaking of Sauter and Riggs, they will most likely be out of work. Chances are they will end up on another Cup team, but it looks like their time with Haas/CNC Racing is limited.
