The association will meet 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20 in the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District Board Room, 15959 E. Gale Avenue, Hacienda Heights.

Blake Whittington of the Los Angeles and San Gabriel Rivers Watershed Council will talk about the proposal for a multipurpose corridor along the San Jose Creek. Public input is needed for a plan that will transform the San Gabriel Creek.

The San Jose Creek extends from Pomona to South El Monte. The communities of Hacienda Heights, Rowland Heights, Walnut, La Puente and Industry are affected.

In addition to a special presentation each month, the agenda also includes reports on community issues and from local elected officials’ representatives.
