Who’s your hero?

Rowland Unified School District is asking its students that question to celebrate Red Ribbon Week from Oct 23-31. Their theme is “Who’s Your Hero?”

Rowland students will have an essay contest about the heros in their lives. Should be interesting.

Winners will be announced Nov. 28, with the winning essays printed in a booklet for distribution. Winners get gift certificates at a school board meeting.

During Red Ribbon week, students will wear red ribbons or bracelets. They also sign pledges to lead a drug-free lifestyle and participate in special activities.
