Time to clean up your hazardous waste in Rowland Heights

Clean out that toxic garage!

Residents will get the chance to dipose of household hazardous waste and e-waste from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, at at Rowland High School.

This is a great chance to safely dispose of used motor oil, paint, turpentine, acid or lye-based cleaners. Residents can also get rid of household and car batteries, as well as pesticides and herbicides that can damage the environment if poured down a sink or tossed in the trash.

Please leave the waste in their original containers, then place them in a cardboard box, and drive up to the high school. The process takes only a few minutes, without having to leave the car.
