Hacienda and Rowland Heights residents can learn the Charleston. Watch movies featuring silent film stars Charlie Chaplin and Mary Pickford.

The Workman and Temple Family Homestead Museum is your “Ticket to the Twenties” on Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. each day.

There is no cost for admission. Guests are encouraged to dress in Roaring Twenties attire and bring along a lawn chair and a blanket.

Dance demonstrations will be provided by Hollywood Hotshots. On Saturday, musical groups Dean Mora and His Modern Rhythmists and Janet Klein and her Parlor Boys will perform. Natalie Meyer will coordinate a fashion show and a 1920s movie star look-alike contest. On Sunday, Ian Whitcomb and His Dance Band as well as Night Blooming Jazzmen will perform. The Art Deco Society of Los Angeles will put on the fashion show. And Chuck Kovacic will portray Will Rogers.

The event includes vintage house tours, a ukulele sing-a-long, crafts, games and food. Dogs and alcohol are prohibited.

The museum is located at 15415 East Don Julian Road, city of Industry. To reach the museum, take the Pomona (60) Freeway and exit Hacienda Boulevard and drive north about one mile. Parking is free.
