When it rains, it pours in Southern California. And the deluge on March 17 forced Schabarum Park to cancel the big Cherry Blossom Festival.
“We rescheduled the festival for April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.,” reported Park Superintendent Connie Douglas. “The cherry blossoms were really beautiful this year, but the heavy rain and winds stripped the trees over the weekend.”
