Collegewood Elementary got a traffic safety lesson on Aug. 30. The assembly was organized by the Traffic Committee with 20 parents helping teach the children about the important issue of safety, said Chairperson Lisa Gomez.
Principal Joan Perez told the kindergartners and first graders the school’s traffic rules, including not walking in the staff parking lot and walking only between the yellow lines of the crosswalks.
Then 175 youngsters walked down to the front lawn for a demonstration led by Collegewood Community Club.
