The city of Walnut will sponsor a trip to the Huntington Library and Gardens on Sunday, April 28, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Enjoy the afternoon wandering 120 acres of breathtaking gardens, including the newly renovated Japanese Garden with beautiful lush green canyons, whispering bamboo, bonsai and a Kara Sansui rock garden.
While at the library, check out its annual plant sale, where garden lovers come to find all the newest plants, the most sought-after collectibles and the popular favorites.
The cost of the trip is $20. Lunch and plant purchases are on your own.
All community excursions depart from Parking Lot A (Park N’ Ride Lot) at 20983 La Puente Road, in Walnut.
