Walnut Valley Unified Board of Trustees honored Walnut High volunteers Paula Tsukada and Howard Rescoe with the Partner in Education Award.
“As you know about four years ago, our co-curricular programs took a huge hit financially. We had many conversations about how we would be able to continue to provide opportunities for our Walnut High kids. These two parents are an example of the many volunteers throughout the district who have been willing to step up and assist. They have been supportive of Walnut High School and our football program,” said Jordan.
Paula continues supporting our athletes and coaches even after her son has graduated. She is instrumental with organizing and fundraising thousands of dollars so the football program can continue to compete and support our student-athletes.
Howard is an excellent asset to assist the coaching staff. He videos every game as well as practices for the coaches. He uploads the film for the coaches and players so they can review it on Huddle, an online viewing system. Howard also has made a website to advertise the football program.
“Both of these parents are very much appreciated for their support and commitment to WHS Football,” said Jordan.
