A pedestrian was fatally struck by a freight train in Industry, authorities said today.

The victim, a female, was struck by a Union Pacific train near the 600 block of Turnbull Canyon Road around 10:10 p.m. Wednesday, said Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. R. Enriquez.
