Sheriff's deputies arrested three North Hollywood residents in Highland on Wednesday after they stole more than $3,000 in merchandise from CVS, Walgreens and other stores in the county, sheriff's officials said.

Employees at CVS at 27310 Base Line Road called San Bernardino County sheriff's deputies after the group walked into the store and filled up empty purses with merchandise.

Deputies found stolen merchandise in their vehicle and arrested them. The suspects, Nelson Carcamo, Carolina Descua and Eda Chavez, were booked into Central Detention Center in San Bernardino on suspicion of burglary and conspiracy. Sheriff's officials said they admitted to stealing the merchandise and told deputies they considered the stores easy targets.
