A man armed with a handgun robbed an ampm mini mart in Highland on Sunday, sheriff's officials said.

The robber walked into the store at 27323 Fifth St. at 4:23 a.m., approached the clerk and pulled out a gun, San Bernardino County sheriff's officials said.

He told the clerk to give him all the money in the register. The clerk handed over cash and the robber fled. He left in a red Pontiac sedan and was last seen heading north on Palm Avenue.

Anyone with information may call the sheriff's Highland station, (909) 425-9793.
