LA Kings stat of the night

The Kings’ 3-2 victory Thursday over the Canadiens extended their winning streak over the Canadiens to three consecutive games, which ordinarily wouldn’t be worth talking about. But, according to research by the Kings’ crack media relations department, it’s their longest winning streak over Montreal in franchise history.

The Kings also swept the season series from the Canadiens for only the third time since beginning play in the NHL for the 1967-68 season. The Kings were 2-0 against Montreal this season, 2-0 against the Canadiens in 2013-14 and 1-0 against them in 2000-01.
