Afternoon Blend: Heche on motherhood, Regis' new gig, and Britney's ongoing drama

Snapped!
We all know that Sarah Jessica Parker wouldn't waer such ridiculous socks but when in character as Carrie Bradshaw for "Sex and the City: The Movie," it's anything goes!...I just can't get into the Britney stuff yet - I just finished lunch and it'll make me lose it - so let me share so other showbiz tidbits with ya: Regis Philpin, at 75, isn't content doing just one show on television. The former host of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" is set to host a new prime-time version of "Password" for CBS...Ellen DeGeneres loves to connect with her fans. So much so that she posts what she is eating for lunch on her daily blog...Singing and acting isn't enough for Beyonce. I don't mind the perfume she hawks, everybvody does that, but her own phone? Seems like too much...Speaking of too much: Anne Heche was on "The View" today and talked about the pain of being a long-distance mother. She shares custody of her son with ex-hubby Coley Lafoon as she shoots "Men In Trees" in Vancouver with co-star and real-life love James Tupper...OK, enough stalling: Britney Spears arrived in LA court today - five hours late - to try and convince a judge to let her mother be the monitor for overnight visits with her kids. In the last 24 hours alone, another Britney crotch shot has made the rounds (underwear on, thank God), went shopping at Target with photographers in tow. She was looking for a camera charger...and finally, classy stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon appeared with their director at the premiere Wednesday night of their film "Rendition." Everyone is reading into the body language of the pair in this photo (below). They are alleged to have been an item at some point but they never confirmed it and no one ever proved it. Whether it was real or not, the tabloids and various sites are now writing that it's over....
That's Hollywood!
