After losing custody of her children, for now, Britney Spears - instead of heading home to Malibu - checked into the Penninsula Hotel. Not sure why. The good thing is, she hired a driver and as she was photographed getting out of the car, you could see that she was wearing panties underneath her barely-there miniskirt.
The whole Britney Spears spiral is such a mystery - maybe even to her - but the ladies of "The View" shared some of their thoughts on what might be having with the fallen pop star: "I have a strange feeling about this," said Whoopi Goldberg. "I think she's discovered she's not not cut out for [motherhood]. I think she's just giving it up. It's insane what's happening."
Joy Behar, who at first joked that KFed should NOT hire Lindsay Lohan as a nanny, said "most people parent the way they've been parented...the cycle just goes on and on and on."
Meanwhile, Barbara Walters said to Britney: "For heaven's sake, get help for yourself.": Then she wondered about Federline's ability to support the kids financially: "The money comes from Britney...and he has two other kids...you worry abvout thoese adorable little babies."
