Friday morning brew...
Good morning and happy Friday...
My coffee this morning is from the 7-Eleven down the street and it is goooood. I looked at the tabloids near the checkstand and they were ridiculous. One had Rosie saying that Barbara Walters is trying to kill her! Then there is In Touch which has the screaming headline: "Angelina gains 10 pounds!"
Fascinating.
So hey, this is great to hear: Owen Wilson is back! He appeared with his castmates at the L.A. premiere of "The Darjeeling Limited" in his first professional appearance since his reported suicide attempt in August. TMZ.com reports that Owen took the stage with co-stars Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman to talk about the movie, and director Wes Anderson said of him, "I've never made a movie without him and I hope I never have to."...I'm so shocked (not!) about the whole Marion Jones steriod admission. Between her and Barry Bonds and others, it is sad to see sports tainted in this way. Two words of advice: don't cheat!...The Britney Spears mess is managing to remain at this sort of consistent, bizarre level. She checked in to yet another hotel yesterday, couldn't start her car (she now has her license) then later tells paparazzi that she loves them. WhatEVER....Tracey Gold has had her share of problems from anorexia to a DUI accident when she crashed with her kids in the car. It seems the former "Growing Pains" star is back on track, at least I hope so, since she is now pregnant with her FOURTH child... It seems like a big deal is being made of Rosie O'Donnell joking the other night at a comedy club that she was fired from "The View" by Barbara Walters. Seems silly. Rosie quit. It was a joke...And finally, it sure is good to see Janet Jackson looking so good and in a movie again. Here she is at the premiere of her new film, "Why Did I Get Married?" She was so good as Penny on "Good Times" as a kid then was terrific in "Poetic Justice." She should act more...
