A "very disappointed in myself" Kiefer Sutherland gets 48-day sentence...
Nicole Ritchie and Lindsay Lohan may have spent mere hours (or minutes) in jail for their DUIs but Emmy-winning actor Kiefer Sutherland looks to be spending far more time locked up.
On Wednesday, a judge sentenced Kiefer to 48 days in jail for his Sept 25 arrest for driving with a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit of .08. He must begin serving the sentence before March 30 in the Glendale City Jail.
What made things worse for Kiefer than the other "celebs" was that he was already on probation for a 2004 drunken driving arrest.
The star of "24" was present fior the sentencing and made the following statement: "I'm very disappointed in myself for the poor judgment I exhibited recently, and I'm deeply sorry for the disappointment and distress this has caused my family, friends and co-workers."
Hopefully he has learned his lesson. He's a terrific actor who belongs on the screen, not in jail.
