A Jolly good time

| | Comments (0) |

Let's start out the weekend with a big night at Del Mar, OK?

In the fifth race, take a long look at Jolly Spirit, conditioned by Gary Stute and ridden by Alex Solis. Now, there's a common thread between these two men. Solis should have been voted into horse racing's Hall of Fame (shame on the voters!!) and Stute's dad, Mel Stute, also was overlooked -- AGAIIN -- by the so-called experts. Well, tonight they team up in the fifth on Jolly Spirit, who is 6-1 on the morning line and should be rolling late for Solis. If you're looking for an exacta, try hooking up Jolly Spirit with Idle Opinion, another horse who should be closing in a race where there appears to be plenty of early speed to set it up for the closers.
