Which jockey would you choose?

| | Comments (1) |

I was thinking (OK, sort of dreaming, too) about if I owned a talented 2-year-old colt. What would I name it? How often would I race it as a 2-year-old? And, perhaps most importantly, who would I get to train and ride the horse?

There are a lot of good trainers and jockeys who I would trust, but I think I'd go with Richard Mandella and Alex Solis. They both have been around a while, have been associated with successful horses in the past and I like their work. Thoughts? Who would you choose?

That would be a lot of fun, but a lot of stress and pressure too. I'm not sure I'd race a horse at two. I think I'd have to lean towards Bob Baffert as a trainer and use pick from the talented jockey pool that Southern California has to offer. You couldn't go wrong with Alex Solis, that's for sure. I also like Bobby Frankel as a trainer. Toyugh decision to be sure and one I doubt I'll ever have to make! LOL
