Breeders' Cup fever

Three big Breeders' Cup preps today at Oak Tree. This is sorta like the Final Four leading up to the big NCAA hoops championship game.

I like Dancing Edie in the Yellow Ribbon. Corey Nakatani, one of the better turf riders around, sticks around for trainer Craig Dollase and she could have too much speed for these fillies and mares. She's also 1 for 1 on the Santa Anita lawn.
The Tin Man should have everything his way in the Clement L. Hirsch. T.H. Approval, of course, is the sentimental favorite because of trainer Eduardo Inda, but I think The Tin Man just has too much class for the latter. Plus, The Tin Man looks like the lone speed on paper.
Tough to pick against Point Ashley in the Oak Leaf, although she does draw the tough No. 11 post position. If there is an upsetter here, take a look at Back in the Shade, who just broke her maiden by seven lengths at Calder and gets the services of Alex Solis.
