Three big Oak Tree races today

| | Comments (0) |

There are three major Breeders' Cup prep races at Santa Anita's Oak Tree meet today, although there might not be much drama involved.

In the Oak Tree Mile, Aragorn figures to beat his opposition. I'm not picking against Lava Man anymore, at least not while he's racing here in California. He'll command a short price in the Goodwood Breeders' Cup Handicap. The most interesting of the three races could be the Ancient Title, where the speedster Bordonaro and Pure as Gold could put on a good match race at the six-furlong distance. Past Ancient Title winners have fared well in the Breeders' Cup Sprint.
