Is there anyone out there who doesn’t believe Invasor is the Horse of the Year after beating a strong field in the Breeders’ Cup Classic?
Invasor has now won 9 of 10 races lifetime and was unbeaten in 2006. Winning the Breeders’ Cup Classic off a near-three month layoff was an impressive feat. He missed his final BC Prep, the Jockey Club Gold Cup, because he developed a fever in the days leading up to the race.

i agree art–100 percent–especially after such a long layoff–hey–what do you think of NOBIZ LIKE SHOWBIZ for 2 yr old colt? a bit of a long shot–though i have read somewhere that people are picking him to be the winter book favorite for the derby– a bit of a curse perhaps–i do like him alot.
I really don’t like to judge 2-year-olds at this point in the year because so many of them change from now until the spring. It’s a tricky business, trying to rate juveniles.
But hey, Nobiz Like Shobiz has as good a shot as any of them right now. He certainly won the Remsen Stakes last weekend in impressive fashion. Whether he steps up and improves enough from now until February or March, time will tell. If you like him, I would certainly take a stab. You could do a lot worse.
yeah you are right–i takes me chances…lol–and trust me–more often then not it all comes to naught…thats what made barbaro even more heartbreaking-(for me and so many others)-for one of the first times a two year old that i was really high on –went on to great things as a three yr old-even if they had kept him to turf i would have been satisfied–though i was quite excited when they decided to try him on dirt and potentially the spring classics. then of course the rest of it–the good, the bad and then the good again…
