I really like the Dan Hendricks-trained Forward Commitment in today’s fifth race at Santa Anita. Alex Solis stays aboard and he looks to be sitting on a win. He went postward at 3-1 in his last, but he’s 8-1 on the morning line. You have to love that price if you get it. Actually, anything over 5-1 on this horse is a steal.
Like New Money, trained by the more than capable Carla Gaines, looks solid in the sixth. Victor Epinoza sticks with the 4-year-old gelding and Espinoza and Gaines have been clicking at 26 percent in the past year.
That’s all I like today.
