Ninth at Santa Anita today
John Sadler appears to have Moneyplaysjose very well spotted for a victory in today's nightcap at Santa Anita. There are seven first-time starters in the race and those seven trainers are a combined 0 for 51 with horses making their career debuts.
Moneyplaysjose just fnished second in an open $32,000 maiden claimer and takes a short jump up in class today to a $40,000 maiden claimer for Cal-breds. Martin Pedroza stays aboard, which is a good sign. He's 8-5 on the morning line, so he's not a great win play, but he's a good horse to single in pick six and pick four tickets. On paper, he looks like he could wire this group.
