A special filly?

If you haven't seen it yet, go to www.calracing.com and watch a replay of Sunday's first race at Santa Anita when the Bruce Headley-trained Magnificience broke her maiden at first asking under Alex Solis.

Headley has been high on this 3-year-old filly, and she had five bullet works leading up to her debut. She breaks slowly and is at least 10-15 lengths back early on before unleashing a powerful closing kick that results in an easy 6 1/2-length victory. It doesn't look like Solis even touched her in the stretch. Headley reportedly was offered $1 million after the race for the daughter of Stormy Atlantic.
