How about the Todd Pletcher-trained King of the Roxy, who gets the services of Garrett Gomez and will go postward at a healthy price. What are the chances that Street Sense gets the dream trip he got in the Derby? And we already know he loves Churchill Downs. How much will he love Pimlico Race Course?
The Santa Anita Derby also-ran theory came up empty in the Derby, but it says here that the freshened King of the Roxy, second in the Santa Anita Derby, will fire a big race Saturday and come up with the upset victory. I’m going to put win money on the colt and use him as a key horse in exactas to the four colts who ran in the Derby — Street Sense, Hard Spun, Curlin and Circular Quay, the latter of whom is also sitting on a big effort.
