Race handicapper on fire

Check out our new handicapper in the racing consensus box each morning before you head to the track. He doesn't give you the normal 9-5, 2-1 and 5-2 favorites. Ray Nelson had Smokey Route on top as his BEST BET in Saturday's nightcap. The horse went postward at 61-1 and returned a whopping $124.40 for each $2 wager.

On Thursday, Nelson picked If It Stays Fair in the sixth race, a healthy $50.20 return for each $2 bet. Last Saturday, he correctly tabbed the winner of the nightcap that paid $31. Keep an eye on this guy. He's a long-shot specialist who is particularly good with horses at 20-1 or higher.
At Del Mar, he correctly tabbed Lupita'sluckyangel, which returned $81, in the sixth race on Aug. 30 and he had 65-1 boxcar horse Echezeaux picked second during the meet's first Sunday on July 22. Echezeaux won and returned $133.
