To the Daily News and esp. Kevin Modesti: Thank you for your excellent Breeders' Cup coverage. Well done.
Especially since the Times has elected to drop horseracing from its coverage. Your Sports Section is the best. As a lifelong racing fan, I really appreciate Kevin Modesti's articles.

BROWN PRIDE!!!

Joyce: Thanks for your kind words. As I think you know, our Breeders' Cup coverage was a team effort, with Art Wilson doing the best work and a bunch of L.A. Newspaper Group writers and editors contributing. Especially, credit goes to the individual papers' sports editors for recognizing how much the Breeders' Cup means to racing fans and giving it the appropriate attention. Please send along suggestions on how we can keep giving racing the kind of coverage you like.
