Santa Anita Racing -- 1/02/2009

Some days taking a shot just doesn't work out. But other days, when your long shots click, you feel like you're king of the world. We're off to a slow start this Santa Anita meet, but one thing I've learned -- don't ever deviate from a system that you know works and has been good to you. We press on.

FRIDAY, JANUARY 2
1st -- $20 to win on Rebel Creek
4th -- $20 to win on Time to Get Even at 20-1 or higher; $20 to win on Cayambe; $5 exacta box with Secret Shuttle, Cayambe and Time to Get Even
5th -- $20 to win on No Tip for You, Powerofvoodoo and Honnete at 20-1 or higher; $5 exacta box with No Tip for You, Powerofvoodoo and Honnete
8th -- $20 to win on Premier Issue; $5 exacta box with Premier Issue and Motorboat

Note -- Cat Brulay (sixth race) looks like a single to me in the pick six and late pick four. He's 8-5 on the morning line, too short a price for me to bet, but I think he looks extremely tough to beat in this spot.

THURSDAY -- Minus $140
OVERALL -- Minus $196
BANKROLL (started with $2,000) -- $1,804

Good luck today!!
