SBVC soccer trio headed East

Midfielder Kevin Real (Riverside La Sierra), defender Marco Arias (Riverside La Sierra), and forward Alfredo Palacios (Norco H.S.) of San Bernardino Valley College have signed a letters of intent with the University of Maine at Machias.

Real was named second team All-Foothill Conference last season, finishing fourth in the conference with 19 total shots on the year.

In 2011, Arias helped anchor the stifling SBVC defense, led by the conference Most Valuable Player in sophomore goalkeeper Daniel Angulo.

The Wolverines finished 8-9-5 overall and 3-3-2 in Foothill Conference play. SBVC made the playoffs but lost a first round game to Mt. SAC.
