Sophomore middle blocker Brenna McIntosh of No. 16 Cal State San Bernardino is this week’s CCAA Volleyball Player of the Week.

She led the Coyotes to a 3-0 week, highlighted by a 301 win over then No. 10 UC San Diego.

McIntosh tallied 36 kills and 17 total blocks. In Wednesday’s home opener against UC San Diego, McIntosh threw down seven total blocks, four of which were solo blocks.  She followed that performance with two double-digit kill efforts in the Coyotes’ four-set victories at Chico State and Cal State Stanislaus.  

 Friday, against the Wildcats, she connected for 16 kills with just three errors in 31 attempts for a weekend-best hitting percentage of .419.  She also added two blocks and five digs on the night.

On Saturday the Yorba Linda native was outstanding, both offensively and defensively, as she smashed 12 kills for a .333 hitting percentage and totaled a weekend high of eight blocks, two solo blocks and six assisted blocks to defeat the Warriors 3-1.
