Cal State volleyball player earns weekly accolades

Cal State San Bernardino’s Brenna McIntosh has been named the Molten/California Collegiate Athletic Association Women’s Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 28-Nov. 3.

McIntosh played perhaps the best weekend ever in the history of Coyotes’ volleyball after a record breaking 2-0 weekend with wins over Cal State Stanislaus and Chico State.

The sophomore middle blocker set a school record attack percentage (.933) in the 3-0 win over Cal State Stanislaus on the strength of a 14 kills, 0 errors, 15 attack effort.

On Saturday, McIntosh established another school record with 15 block assists in the 3-2 win over Chico State. She also hit .405 on the attack after smashing 19 kills with just two errors in the five-set victory.

For the weekend, the Yorba Linda hit .544 (33-2-57) and totaled 20 block assists with one solo, while chipping in with 2 service aces.
