The Cal State San Bernardino men’s basketball team moved up one spot to eighth in the NABC Top 25 poll.

CSUSB (13-1 overall, 10-0 CCAA) extended its longest winning streak in 10 seasons to 13 games after winning at San Francisco State and Sonoma State last weekend.

The Coyotes are in the top 25 for the fourth consecutive week and have climbed from Nos. 19-14-9 and now No. 8 since making their first appearance this season in the Dec. 31st poll.

West Liberty (W. Va.) retains the top spot in the poll once again for the seventh consecutive week in one of five remaining undefeated teams at the NCAA Division II level.

The Hilltoppers (14-0) are joined in the unbeaten ranks in the poll by No. 2 Florida Southern, No. 4 Tarleton State, No. 6 East Stroudsburg and No. 12 Cal Baptist.  Metro State dropped into the rankings between Florida Southern and Tarleton State at No. 3, while Drury followed Tarleton State at No. 5.  Slots seven-10 are: Bellarmine, CSUSB, Southern Indiana and Lincoln Memorial.

Two other West Region teams appear in this week’s poll. After CSUSB and Cal Baptist, Dixie State is No. 18 and Seattle Pacific at No. 24.

The Coyotes return to Coussoulis Arena this weekend in the final weekend of first-half CCAA play. They take on Cal State L.A. (Friday) and Cal State Dominguez Hills (Saturday).
