It’s been a tough season for the Cal State San Bernardino women’s basketball team. But the Coyotes and first-year coach Renee Jimenez will take center stage when their CCAA showdown at Cal State Monterey Bay airs live on national television at 11 a.m. Saturday.

The game, selected before the season started, is the Division II Game of the Week and will air on CBS Sports Network. That’s Channel 221 on Direct TV, Channel 158 on Dish Network, Channel 411 and 786 on Charter Communications, Channel 261 (standard), Channel 474 (High Def)  on Time Warner, Channel 94 on Verizon Vios and Channel 643 (standard), 1643 (High-Def) ATT-U-verse.

The major storyline will be the return of Jimenez to Monterey Bay, where she directed the Otters program to national prominence in her five-year tenure there. She resigned there in the spring to take the vacant San Bernardino job.

The Coyotes (5-15, 4-13) are coming off a 74-71 win over Cal State East Bay on Thursday while Monterey is fresh off a 56-48  loss to UC San Diego, also Thursday.

The Coyotes won the first game between the two teams 47-46 earlier this season in San Bernardino.
