Two locals still in NCAA Division II national rankings

Two local teams still boast national basketball rankings.

Cal State San Bernardino is now No. 14, up one place from last week, while Cal Poly Pomona is up four spots to No. 17.

Both teams are on the road this week to wrap up the regular season.

The CCAA tournament will get underway March 6 with first-round action. The Coyotes have guaranteed themselves a opening-round bye and play Friday, March 7.

Metro State remains the nation’s top-ranked team with 15 first-place votes.
