Senior guard Lacy Haddock of Cal State San Bernardino has been named to the 2014 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-American team.

He is the seventh player in his sport’s history to earn All-American honors, joining Mark Warren (1988-89), Bobby Burries (2001-03), Jonathan Levy (2004), Brandon Brown (2009), Bryan LeDuc (2010) and Kwame Alexander (2013).

The Las Vegas native paced the Coyotes (24-5) to their best season in terms of record winning percentage in 10 seasons. The Coyotes , won the CCAA regular-season title, finished the regular season with a No. 16 national ranking and played host to NCAA West Regional.

The 6-foot-2 inch Haddock had one of the top seasons by a point guard in the country. He averaged 12.9 points, 6.2 assists and 37.2 minutes a game.  He tied his school single-game record for assists with 14 against Westmont on Nov. 13 and had five double-digit assist games and eight games with at least eight.

His 1,079 minutes played is an all-time record for a Coyote in a season and he is the only player in school history to play at least 1,000 minutes in a season, which he accomplished in both seasons. Nine times he played an entire game including two overtime contests in 2013-14.

This season’s CCAA Player of the Year, Haddock completed his two-year Coyote career as the No. 2 all-time assists leader (324) and his 179 assists this season rates third all-time. His 6.17 assists/game (season) and 5.68 assists/game (career) are both second on the CSUSB charts.
