Cal Poly Pomona’s Terrence Drisdom has been named the California Collegiate Athletic Association Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for Nov. 14-16.
Drisdom had two stellar performances to open 2014 play, leading the Broncos to victories over Westmont and Azusa Pacific.
In Friday’s 85-62 win over Westmont, the senior guard totaled 18 points on six-for-10 shooting from the field which included two made from three point range four from the free throw line.
Saturday’s 81-78 overtime win against the Cougars saw Drisdom collect a career-high 27 points, edging his previous mark of 26 points from two seasons ago. He put down seven of his 11 shots, coupled with two triples and 11 made free throws.
Defensively, Drisdom averaged 7.5 rebounds and five steals per game.
On the weekend, the Corona product totaled 45 points, 15 rebounds, 10 steals, and four assists.
