SBVC’s Lashay Cason signs with Cal State San Marcos

San Bernardino Valley College volleyball standout Lashay Cason has signed a letter of intent with NCAA Division II Cal State San Marcos.

Cason, a 5-foot-11 sophomore out of Summit High School, averaged 4.7 kills per set. Her 277 total kills ranked second in the Foothill Conference, with a season high of 28 coming against Rio Hondo.

Cal State San Marcos is coming off a 27-11 campaign that ended with an appearance in the NAIA national championship. The school is in the process of transitioning to Division II and will compete in the CCAA, along with locals Cal Poly Pomona and Cal State San Bernardino.
