Soccer standout Katie Hernandez of SBVC headed to Kansas

San Bernardino Valley College soccer standout Katie Hernandez is the latest in a long line of SBVC players to sign with NAIApower Kansas Wesleyan University.

Hernadez, a midfielder out of Beaumont High School, was  a second team All-Foothill Conference selection the past season. She managed six goals and five assists in helping the Wolverines to a conference title.

She will join teammate Cynthia Chavez who signed with KWU in May.  Several others from the school have also played there in recent years

Kansas Wesleyan University is located in Salina, Kansas, which is about 85 miles north of Wichita and about 180 miles west of Kansas City. The Coyotes went 8-0-1 in conference play, with an overall record of 13-5-2 in 2014.
